LIGHT HORSE ESCORTS GALLIPOLI
SANDS THROUGH SYDNEY
Seven mounted riders dressed as ANZAC Light Horsemen
will escort the 2005 Sands of Gallipoli collection though Sydney
streets
With spurs, swords and slouch hats the Horsemen
will hand over the collection to the National President of the
RSL

The Light Horsemen will be joined at the ANZAC Memorial
by
the National President of the RSL, the NSW State President of
the RSL, students from Crown Street Public School and the Sing
Australia Choir performing Great War songs.
The 2005 Sands of Gallipoli collection consists
of memorabilia containing sand from ANZAC Cove and commemorates
the 90th Anniversary
of the Gallipoli Landings. A percentage of all sales will support
the RSL's ongoing welfare work in the veteran community.
