2010 Media Competition
Two Great Competitions for local newspapers
To help you engage your community in the lead-up
to ANZAC Day, Sands of Gallipoli is proudly supporting local competitions
to bring out the ANZAC community spirit.
Prizes: Sands
of Gallipoli is providing a Sands of Gallipoli 2010 Limited Edition
commemorative set valued at $195 for readers' winning submissions.
You can judge submissions and select a winner or simply submit
all entries into a draw for the prize. We have two great competitions
to choose from.

Where
have all the medals gone
Where have all the medals gone is a chance to celebrate and record
your community involvement in Gallipoli and the Great War.
This is a simple write-in competition where you're asking readers
to hunt out their family medals and or pictures and tell the medal's
story, from how it was earned, what it means to their family or
even if they simply found in an old box in the shed. Ideally stories
will be about 500 words.
Publication of Stories: Your media
outlet can publish some or all of the entries received. In the
lead-up to ANZAC day you might even find some good local angle
for your pre-ANZAC day coverage.
Sands of Gallipoli will also publish submissions on the Sands
of Gallipoli community web site and will include your masthead
with stories received from your readers. More

Picture
the Spirit
This is a chance for your readers to submit photographs that they
believe capture the ANZAC Spirit of Courage, Mateship, and Sacrifice.
Photographs should be accompanied by a short caption explaining
the photographer's own interpretation.
Publication of Photographs: Your
media outlet can publish some or all of the entries received.
Sands of Gallipoli will also publish photographs on the Sands
of Gallipoli community web site and will include your masthead
with each picture received from your readers. More
